Webster in 1925 in central Auckland.  In 1954 he was joined in practice by his son, Blair Daniel Webster, Donald's father, and the firm changed its name to Trentham C. Webster & Webster.  Walter Malcolm joined the firm in the early 1960's and in 1967 they were joined in partnership by Gerry Kilpatrick from when the firm was and still is called Webster Malcolm & Kilpatrick.  Donald worked in that firm as a law clerk through his law studies and in 1980 after qualifying and being admitted to the bar, he joined a neighbouring firm as a junior solicitor.  Donald left that firm in 1983 to form his own practice, setting up business in a family owned building in Queen St.  In 1995 the practice moved to Takapuna to its present offices.  Donald and his wife Penny have four teenage children and live in Greenhithe.  Donald has extensive interests outside the law including the Japanese language, yachting, motor racing, skiing and his family.
